Inter President Steven Zhang is expected to return to Milan at the beginning of January and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he has denied that PIF will buy the club from Suning.

Zhang will return to Italy for the first time since May when he arrived in Milan to watch the Nerazzurri lift the Serie A title under Antonio Conte.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zhang will return to Milan after January 6 and will be at the Stadio Meazza to watch the Italian Supercup Final between Inter and Juventus on January 12.

Zhang will have the final say on a few transfer-related issues, such as Marcelo Brozovic’s contract extension.

The Croat will likely receive an offer higher than €6m per season, extending his stay at the club.

Directors Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio and Dario Baccin will also extend their expiring deals. Furthermore, the Serie A giants are planning to extend Simone Inzaghi’s agreement as the former Lazio coach signed a two-year deal in the summer.

Zhang will provide updates on the club’s economic situation, which is not as bad as one year ago as the sales of Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku have helped the Nerazzurri balance the books.

According to the report, Zhang ‘was annoyed’ by the latest report linking the Saudi fund PIF with acquiring a majority stake in the club. Zhang has confirmed that Suning are not open to selling and added that their commitment to the Nerazzurri is long-term.

  1. I think sunning have done a good job since taking over and commercial revenues would have been much higher if not for covid and the Chinese economy restricting outflows of Chinese money.

And with morrata you have a director who knows what he is doing.

  2. What?????!!! No! This can’t be true. I want PIF! Please… This news is fake, isn’t??? 😭😭😭

  3. Obviously Zhang wants to keep the power.

He is in the USA these days to find minority investor for the rest of the shares.

  4. It is Allahu Akbar actually and Juventus should invest in one for two reasons. First it could help Dybala and the rest of the wounded little soldiers as well as help with the round object moving past the halfway line occasionally.
