Milan President Paolo Scaroni said yesterday that he hoped a decision would be made by the end of the year, and his Inter counterpart also discussed the stadium issue today.
“Speaking from a financial perspective, it is one of the main priorities,” Zhang told shareholders in a Press conference.
“The most sensible thing is that Inter and Milan have one stadium, irrespective of whether it’s San Siro, which is a historic stadium and an iconic stage in world football.
“Milan and the city of Milan must align with us in order to complete this task as soon as possible in order to create the best experience for our fans. The priority is to stay at San Siro and modernise it.
“We're getting back in contact with Milan to evaluate possible solutions for a stadium in Milan. Milan. Having an adequate structure is part of the club’s plan for growth, by modernising San Siro or building a new stadium.
“After the change in ownership at Milan, the conditions might be right and we will look to speed things up because we cannot wait any longer.”
