Zenit feel that Mancini and his players have been distracted by the Italy speculation in the second half of the season, and their campaign has been negatively affected as a result.

They could therefore refuse to release Mancio for Italy, though in that case he would surely simply resign from his post.

If that happens, the newspaper reports, Zenit could turn to FIFA for damages.
