Zenit St Petersburg have reportedly approached Torino for striker Andrea Belotti, as Sardar Azmoun is heading to Bayer Leverkusen.

The link was announced by Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio this evening.

Italy international Belotti’s future is up in the air, as his contract with Toro is due to expire in June 2022 and he has not yet given an answer to the extension proposal.

The Granata have offered a four-year contract at €4m per season, including bonuses, but he feels ready to make the step up to a more ambitious club.

Zenit need a new centre-forward, because Sportitalia report that Azmoun is on the verge of a move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Iran international Azmoun had been on the Roma radar too, but they ended up clinching a deal for Genoa striker Eldor Shomurodov instead.

That was agreed for €17.5m plus €2.5m in bonuses and giving Genoa 10 per cent of any future transfer fee.
