Walter Zenga vows to ‘transmit passion’ to both the Crotone players and fans as his side prepare to face Chievo.

The former Sampdoria, Catania and Wolves boss succeeded Davide Nicola last week and has now presided over a full seven days of training at his new club.

“I want a team that looks to dictate the play and knows how to get the fans onside,” Zenga explained.

“It has been a busy week, spent getting to know the environment, the players, the people at the club and the city.

“Here, there is a great sense that the team belongs to the people who work for it, and to the fans.

“I want to transmit my passion to the team and involve the fans as well – who need to help us in difficult moments as well as when we are playing well.”

Crotone suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sassuolo in Zenga’s first match in charge last weekend.
