“Benitez will soon resolve Inter's problems,” the former Palermo and Catania Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“The squad is strong and the players will know how to pull themselves out of these situations.

“Has someone called me? No, I haven't received a call from anyone and I wouldn't know what to say if they did, out of respect for Benitez.”

Zenga was the Inter goalkeeper from 1983 to 1994, playing a total 473 games for the club in all competition.

He won the Scudetto, Italian Super Cup and two editions of the UEFA Cup.
