Inter confirmed they had made a proposal to Samp for striker Eder this week, but he is in the squad for tomorrow’s Serie A game at the Stadio San Paolo.

“Eder trained with us and he will play. He is a Sampdoria player,” declared Coach Zenga in a Press conference.

“We have a squad that is convinced of its potential. I am not one of those Coaches who picks an XI and then keeps it until Sunday. I like to shuffle the pack and keep everyone on their toes.”

Samp won their opening match 5-2 over Carpi, while Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli lost 2-1 at Sassuolo.

“The only thing Napoli got wrong was the result. This is a team with a great deal of quality in midfield and attack. I expect them to be aggressive and to take the initiative.

“I want my team to have the same hunger and attitude as last Sunday, to confirm we have found the key to becoming an entertaining side.

“I always admired Sarri because of his career path with great ideas. The difference between Coaches is that we all have ideas, but must find a way of putting them into practice.”

David Ivan is suspended following his red card against Carpi, while Antonio Cassano, Nenad Krsticic and Lorenzo De Silvestri are injured.
