Pescara coach Zdeněk Zeman was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday morning after a ‘transient ischaemic attack’ and is now in ‘stable condition.’

Pescara announced on X, formerly Twitter, that the 76-year-old had suffered a transient ischaemic attack before a training session on Tuesday morning.

The Dolphins’ coach was rushed to the hospital, where he will be required to undergo further examinations over the next few days. Pescara said their coach was in stable condition.

Zeman returned to Pescara for his third spell at the club in February 2023. Pescara play in Serie C, Italy’s third division and currently sit third in the Girone B with 30 points in 17 matches.

They beat Olbia 4-0 on this past Saturday with Zeman regularly on their bench.

They take to the pitch again tomorrow, Wednesday, December 13 for a Coppa Italia Lega Pro game away at Catania.

Everyone at Football Italia wishes Mr. Zeman a speedy recovery.
