Zdenek Zeman believes that the fight for the title will not be polarised, and thinks that Italy still has talented young players.

Early season assessments are that the Scudetto will be fought between Juventus and Roma, who currently sit four and seven points ahead of the chasing pack.

However, for one former Giallorosso boss, third place Napoli cannot be ruled out just yet.

“It's going to be a three-sided fight,” Zeman has said today, in an interview with Sportmediaset.

“Napoli can enter the fray between Juventus and Roma.

“Unfortunately my experience with Napoli was brief,” the 67-year-old said, remembering his time on the bench of the Azzurri back in 2000.

“Management thought they'd solve their problems by sending me away. But it's all water under the bridge.”

Zeman, meanwhile, disagrees that Italy is short of good youngsters.

“Talented players are still there in Italy, the point is that they have to be found and given playing time.”

On this account, he said of his current Cagliari experience: “It's stimulating, there are young players and there's new management at the club.”
