There were reports that the transfer was imminent for €2m on loan with option to buy for another €16-€18m that would become obligatory after 10 appearances or even just with Valencia avoiding relegation.

Juventus director Beppe Marotta told reporters this evening that Zaza “should” go to Valencia, but the striker’s father had a very different view.

“Yeah, Juve think he should go…” Antonio Zaza told Juvenews.eu sarcastically.

“You’ve no idea how many aspects still need to be worked out. It’s not an issue of the Valencia project being convincing, it’s that there are so many details that still have to be written down, pen on paper.

“There’s no point talking about it now. There’s a long way to go yet, it’s definitely not close to completion.”
