Simone Zaza has insisted that he will remain a Torino player next season. “I signed for five years, a clear sign that I believe in the project.”

Toro have a €12m obligation to buy Zaza from Valencia this summer, but it had been rumoured that they would look to sell on the striker after his return of just four Serie A goals.

However, the Juventus old boy helped the Granata come back from behind to beat Sassuolo 3-2 on Sunday.

“This season hasn’t gone very well, I was hoping to do better,” he told Tuttosport.
