The striker has been frozen out since November and the club wanted to fine him last week when he was spotted sunning himself in the Maldives while on injury leave.
“The only problems here have been created by the President,” wrote Zarate with regards to January’s failed transfer to Dynamo Kiev.
“He raised the price-tag after negotiations had started and, when that was accepted, he asked for even more like the great man he is!”
The striker has been linked with Velez Sarsfield and Sunderland, but in the meantime has formally requested the termination of his contract.
“I wish I could leave without asking for a euro,” replied Zarate to a fan who pointed out he continued to earn wages without playing.
