La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed today that Liverpool had joined Fiorentina and Torino in chasing his €4.5m signature.
“It would be a dream to play in the Premier League, but I don’t know how much is true or realistic in this story,” the 23-year-old told Sport Italia.
“I’m keeping my feet on the ground, but I certainly feel ready for an experience abroad. I want to challenge myself at the top level on the international stage.
“If an offer came in from a big club, I’d be eager to prove what I can do. At the moment there’s nothing to report, so we’ll have to wait a few days.
“I spoke to my agent, he said several clubs have asked for information, but there is nothing concrete.”
