Cristian Zapata will be assessed later today ahead of Milan’s trip to Genoa to face Sampdoria, after the defender missed training this week.
The Colombian international adds to a growing injury list for Milan, which also includes Ignazio Abate and Alex.
“We’ve lost some important players,” Inzaghi admitted in his Press conference ahead of the match.
“I have a big squad. For those who have played less there’s no way they’ll be ready. We have no Alex, Abate or Muntari.

“Zapata didn’t train with us, I’ll assess him later today.
“Honda and Menez? They’re fully recovered, Honda just had a sore throat yesterday.
“The injuries are what they are. It would be better to have no injuries and have everyone available, [but] we shouldn’t be worried about missing players.”
Inzaghi also spoke about Stephan El Shaarawy, who was this week challenged by Italy CT Antonio Conte to raise his game.
“It was a good motivational speech,” the Milan Coach said of Conte’s words.
“His words are a warning that you have to do well. El Shaarawy and De Sciglio have become big stars too quickly, and they’ll be expecting the moon.
“Yesterday El Shaarawy was supposed to rest. Instead he asked me if he could train.
“With this attitude he’ll soon return to doing what we know he can do.”
