Juventus are prepared for Paulo Dybala’s departure and they’ve set their sights on Roma talent Nicolò Zaniolo in a bid to replace him.

The 28-year-old Argentinian forward has decided not to renew his contract with the Bianconeri, ending a seven-year association with the club in the summer. His departure will significantly weaken the attack of Massimiliano Allegri’s side, so an exciting replacement will be needed as the club look to return to the top.

As highlighted by TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus have chosen Zaniolo as their top replacement for Dybala and they’re ready to make a move for him in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old Italian forward will not renew his contract with the Giallorossi, so the club are willing to put him on the market this summer due to the fact that his current deal expires in 2024.

Zaniolo’s current market value is around €40m and Roma could be forced into a difficult situation should he look to push through a move to Juventus.

  1. This club has no clear direction. He has scored 12 goals in 76 appearances for Roma and has an injury record worse then Dybala given his age.

  2. @tony Zaniolo is not injury prone. I don’t know why so many people have this misconception. Yeah, he had two ACL injuries and lost the entire previous year but that was just him being unfortunate and not prone to muscle injuries like say Ramsey or Dybala. This season he has only missed 2 games due to injuries.

  3. His acls were too weak to hold his heavy frame.

Study the science, repeat on the other acl can occur when players recovery is rushed as was his.

Zaniolo is now in better shape than he’s ever been with his knees.

Aside from that he’s been consistent since, so the dybala comparisons are off the beat.

It also can take up to 2 years before the player reaches their peak again after a double acl.

His time will come again, it’s just a matter of time.

22 Italian and quite frankly he’d be a gem at Juve…

    Bring it on.

  4. bring Zaniolo, Joao Felix w Ruediger and Pogba (free transfer) in; Dybala, De Sciglio, Bernardeschi, Arthur and Rabiot out

  5. @Zambrotta Let me lay you some historical facts. Your heroes Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Pirlo, Roberto Baggio and Alessandro Del Piero starts their professional career from age range 17 – 19. When one has everything it takes to play, a sane coach will take that chance to play them regardless of their age. Buffon starts against Milan and it was still a debut to remember even today. Alex just need one week to score his goal for Juve and the rest is history.

Your remarks on bringing on U-15 player is stupid at best. Obviously you don’t know that Neymar, Pele, Maradona and Sergio Aguero exactly start their professional career at that age.

Albeit surprising and somewhat absurd, I found this defects is common among allegri supporters like you. You, like your master, seem to have a remarkable inability to see talents in young players, nor recognize it, nor appreciate it. And you seem allergic to offensive players too. But that is not surprising given how you worship your master’s negative football philosophy.

  7. The most important thing is for Dusan to check his receipt and see if he can get a refund. Ronaldo being transferred was the right call and so too Dybala. The bigger issue is now having no midfield, two awful full backs (Danilo + Sandro) and replacing or having Morata and Kean as cover for Ronaldo and Dybala. Renewing Danilo is pure madness as he is a punter at best rejected by the bigger clubs and being a sub at those teams as well. Rabiot will stay and I can bet my house on that. The GK being on that contract is another joke. It is okay to move on from Dybala as even Barca had to move on from Messi. But look at Barca they have Xavi, Gavi, Nico, Pedri, Adama and building nicely with Ferran. Look at Juventus and there is nothing. Chiesa is another one who needs to leave in order to fulfil his potential and that is not with Allegri.

  8. @ Abdel, Yes because Maradona and Pele were ready 18 everybody is right? Where were Salah and Lewandowski at that age? Players need time to grow and I’m pretty sure the trainer who sees them every day can judge better on it than an armchair tactician like you.

Also, don’t forget Allegri gave Coman his first serie A start when he was 18.

Allegri also fitted Mandzukic Higuain Dybala Cuadrado and Pjanic in one line up and we played pretty attacking football those days, because he had the players for it. You’d rather have a guy like Pirlo who claims to play attacking football without having the players to do it and then lose crucial home games against Benevento?

  9. Zaniolo has the potential to be one of the best players in the world. This would be a fantastic signing for Juve as he can play as a winger, second striker and a mezzala.

My concern for him is if his knee injuries flare up again he will unlikely meet his potential and there are some question marks over his temperament. But Juve is the sort of club to whip him into shape, so this is a move worth taking in my opinion.

  10. @Zambrotta and where are Coman now? Ah he is sinking and being a bench warmer in Bayern Munich! How sad! Allegri was right send him away, he has no potential!
    You see what I mean?

Boy you really need to read and google everything before you reply about Pele and Maradona.

Mandzukic, Cuadrado and Pjanic are old player. How many years they will last? In this sector, allegri has done some good job, by giving these old players new role. We are talking about young players, are we not? And Dybala, allegri have to use him regarding his price tag.

And yes, I’d prefer to have Pirlo, who never coach before, ever, but manage to grab 2 cups, than your master allegri. Pirlo will and are learning, sane fan would not think of scudetto when Pirlo come. It supposed to be a new chapter.
Another year of Pirlo is much worth than to call allegri back.
