Italy international Nicolò Zaniolo can’t wait to play for Italy after scoring a key goal for Aston Villa on Sunday.

Zaniolo scored his second Premier League goal on Sunday, helping Aston Villa gain a point away at West Ham.

The former Roma forward took to social media after the match with a message for haters and one for the Azzurri.

What Zaniolo said after Aston Villa goal against West Ham

“Now, focus on the national team,” the Italian striker wrote on Instagram, posting a picture of him celebrating and a shushing face emoji clearly aimed at his critics.

The Italy international has three goals in 32 appearances across all competitions this season.

He joined Aston Villa on loan with an option to buy from Galatasaray last summer, but the latest reports claim the Premier League side will send him back to Turkey at the end of the current campaign.

Zaniolo scored 13 goals in 94 Serie A appearances with Roma before joining Galatasaray in February 2023.
