Nicolò Zaniolo claims Roma changed his life and reveals a text message Daniele De Rossi sent him when he moved to the Stadio Olimpico.
Zaniolo joined Roma from Inter in a swap deal with Radja Nainggolan in the summer of 2018.
“De Rossi sent me a text message two days before signing my contract with Roma. It read: ‘Welcome to the family’,” Zaniolo told Icon.
“I immediately understood what kind of person he is. A champion on and off the pitch.”

Zaniolo has just recovered from COVID, but remains out of action until March-April due to a knee injury.
“Roma have changed my life, under every aspect. They signed me when I was a teenager and they are making me become a man,” the 21-year-old said.
“They gave me the chance to play, how could I not love this club?
“I feel I must work every day to improve, there’s a lot of pressure at Roma and I must handle it in the best possible way, I always try to give my best in training.”
Zaniolo suffered two different knee injuries in 2020.
“They were two blows, but they’ve made me grow. I’ll give my best to get to full fitness and try to win.”
