Nicolò Zaniolo was named Aston Villa’s MOTM in a 2-0 win over Arsenal on Sunday and the Italy stars’ teammates celebrated with him on social media.

Zaniolo started at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday against Arsenal. Even if he was subbed off before the visitors’ goals, his fans still named him MOTM on social media. Most importantly, Villa coach Unai Emery praised Zaniolo at a post-match press conference.

The former Roma winger could not hide his happiness on social media. Reacting to Sunday’s victory against the Gunners, he wrote on Instagram, “Amazing win!!! I’m very happy!!”

Aston Villa players send Instagram messages to Zaniolo after win over Arsenal

Several Aston Villa players commented on Zaniolo’s Instagram post; among them were Dibu Martinez, Youri Tielemans, Morgan Rogers, Lucas Digne and Ezri Konsa.

Zaniolo’s agents at Vigo Global Alliance Sport Services also reacted to Zaniolo’s Instagram post with a message in Italian translating into “We are proud of you.”

Zaniolo has three goals in 37 appearances for Aston Villa this season and has played six matches under new Italy coach Luciano Spalletti since September.
