Roma forward Nicolò Zaniolo reportedly suffered a sprained knee and will carry out medical examinations at Villa Stuart, as the attacker was replaced in the first half against Juventus.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the attacker, who was replaced by Stephan El Shaarawy after only 26 minutes at the Allianz Stadium, has suffered a sprained knee and mot any muscle issues.

The newpaper reports the Giallorossi camp are not too concerned but will of course carry out a medical examination at Villa Stuart today.

All the thoughts went back to the two gruesome ACL ruptures for the young Italy international. On the pitch, it seemed like Zaniolo had a muscular problem, as he was touching his thigh flexor.

The player needed medical attention on the pitch and the grimaces of pain had the Giallorossi fans concerned, even if Zaniolo tried to continue for a while.

He was replaced after 26 minutes, and the newspaper claims it was understood that Zaniolo suffered from a sprained knee and not a muscle issue.

Zaniolo will carry out the medical tests today but will be forced to skip the UEFA Conference League match against Bodo/Glimt in Norway and will most likely be out against Napoli next Sunday too.
