Nicolo Zaniolo will undergo an operation on his foot today as Fiorentina gear up to send in an offer for the Aston Villa forward.
The 24-year-old Italian suffered a fracture to the fifth metatarsal of his left foot in the Villans’ Premier League draw with Liverpool on May 13th, an injury that has ruled him out of contention for the upcoming European Championship.
Zaniolo struggled to impress whilst on loan with Aston Villa this season, managing just three goals across 39 appearances, and is expected to return to Galatasaray in the summer. He has already made clear his desire to return to Serie A for next season.

Fiorentina are seriously interested in snapping up the 24-year-old this summer and are set to send in an offer to Galatasaray in the coming days, believing he’d be a strong fit for the squad in Florence.
