Nicolo Zaniolo reportedly changed his mind and decided to accept Bournemouth’s offer, only for them to turn around and reject a move for the unhappy Roma forward.

The 23-year-old Italian forward has been entirely frozen out of the project in the Italian capital for his antics this month. The player asked for a move away and sat out from the clash with Spezia in an attempt to push through a move to the interested Milan, but Roma declined the Rossoneri’s offer, leaving him in a tough spot.

Bournemouth emerged as serious contenders and agreed to pay Roma €35m for Zaniolo, but the player rejected their approach, infuriating the Giallorossi.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Zaniolo changed his mind on Monday night and decided to accept Bournemouth’s offer following Roma’s decision to freeze him out of the squad until the summer. A flight was even booked to take him to England.

Unfortunately for the Italian, however, the Premier League side decided not to move forward for a deal, believing they’d already invested enough in this January transfer window.
