Claudio Vigorelli, the agent of Aston Villa’s Nicolo Zaniolo, hinted that his client could find a new home in the Premier League this summer.

The 24-year-old Italian forward’s career has taken a difficult turn since he forced his way out of Roma in January of last year. He spent a decent six months with Galatasaray, scoring five goals across 12 games, before he headed off to join Unai Emery’s Villans last summer.

Zaniolo has failed to prove particularly convincing with Aston Villa this season, managing just three goals across 38 matches, and isn’t expected to make a permanent move to the Premier League side in the summer, often being a figure of ire to supporters.

Zaniolo hints

Speaking to TMW, Vigorelli was asked about the future of Zaniolo and if he’ll be returning to Serie A in the summer after his presumed exit from Aston Villa.

“Today we’re only thinking about finishing the season well. The Premier League has been a wonderful experience, and that doesn’t mean it can’t continue.

“Let’s focus on the end of the season and the European Championship, which is upon us, then we’ll see.”

Napoli and Fiorentina have both been linked with a move for Zaniolo in the summer, but will have to negotiate with Galatasaray, who are expecting to welcome him back at the end of the season.
