Nicolò Zaniolo is reportedly not fit enough to start this evening’s game between Roma and Venezia due to another muscular issue.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

Zaniolo had been expected to start in support of striker Tammy Abraham, however, the latest reports from the Capital via Radio Radio suggest that he is struggling with yet another muscular problem.

This has been a recurring issue for the Italy international, who was out for the best part of a year with two serious knee ligament injuries and consequently still has some doubts over his long-term fitness.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is still injured too and Gianluca Mancini suspended, so Lorenzo Pellegrini would most likely again be pushed up in support of Abraham.

Roma have plenty to play for, as they need to catch up to Lazio in the fight for fifth place and are preparing to face Feyenoord in the Europa Conference League Final on May 25.
