Javier Zanetti is reportedly key to Inter rescuing the out-of-favour Matteo Darmian from Manchester United in January.
According to Tuttosport, Vice-President Zanetti will look to exploit his relationship with Jose Mourinho, whom he won the Champions League and consecutive Scudetti under between 2008 and 2010, for the purposes of convincing the Portuguese into letting Darmian leave on loan.

Inter are also being linked with Koln’s Germany international Jonas Hector, but their priority remains the ex-Torino and Milan man, also said to be a target for Juventus.
