The former Juventus and Chelsea coach was appointed at San Siro ahead of 2019-20 and helped Inter to second in Serie A and the Europa League Final.

This term, the team were eliminated from the Champions League in the group stages but can potentially secure the Scudetto with a win over Crotone on Saturday.

The Nerazzurri sit 11 points ahead of Atalanta with five games remaining and a setback for the Orobici against Sassuolo on Sunday will mean Inter have won the League.

Vice-President and former full-back Zanetti has praised Conte’s effort since joining the club in 2019.

“We need that last push,” Zanetti told Twitch channel 2010misterchip. “I’m very happy with the work of the last two years.

“Conte is doing something extraordinary. The players have grown a lot, it has been a difficult year for everyone due to the pandemic, but with a lot of effort.

“It wasn’t easy, it’s a complicated and tight championship.”
