President Maurizio Zamparini may sell Palermo and buy Serie B club Modena, say reports.

The rambunctious Rosanero president, who was sanctioned today for his latest controversial remarks, appears set to make another dramatic move, this time of a financial nature.

According to La Gazzetta di Modena, Zamparini is looking to sell his current club and buy Modena instead, replacing current owner Antonio Caliendo.

There have been rumours surrounding a possible change of ownership for the Sicilian club before, but nothing substantial ever came of them.

As Palermo's chaotic season draws to a close and relegation looks increasingly like a real prospect, however, the switch may finally take place.

There are no details as to who would acquire Palermo in Zamparini's stead.
