Zamparini: ‘Palermo can beat Milan’

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini is not afraid of leaders Milan. “We have beaten them many times and can do it again tonight.”

The evening kick-off at the Stadio Barbera sees the Sicilians aim to end a run of five consecutive defeats.

“In recent years we have beaten Milan many times and can do it again tonight,” declared the patron.

Milan have lost their last three visits to Palermo, the latter two by 3-1 scorelines.

Zamparini sacked Delio Rossi, but so far replacement Coach Serse Cosmi has lost both games in charge.

“The lads must play without the pressure of needing a result. If Palermo play in a relaxed manner, then I think we can absolutely win this.

“I didn't doubt the fans would stick close to the team and we hope to give them something to celebrate.”

Cesare Bovo sits out a ban, while Mattia Cassani is the only injury case, but Cosmi is keeping his cards close to his chest.
