Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini says he had no choice in Davide Ballardini’s sacking – “I’m the victim in this situation”.
The Coach was dismissed after this weekend’s win over Verona, when goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino revealed there had been no communication with the players.
“I’m the victim in this situation,” Zamparini insisted, speaking to La Zanzura.

“I’m the victim in this situation,” Zamparini insisted, speaking to La Zanzura.
“I heard Sorrentino speaking out on television and I couldn’t do anything else. Ballardini kind of committed suicide, he was sacked only because of that.
“It wasn’t me who put him out: the goalkeeper sacked him, not me.”
Guillermo Barros Schelotto has been named as Ballardini's replacement.
