Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has launched a stinging attack on the media for trying to make him look like a "cretin."
The Italian papers have criticised Zamparini for being too harsh on Palermo Coach Delio Rossi.
He launched into a typical rant after Sunday's 4-2 defeat at home to Fiorentina.
Speaking to Sky Italia, Zamparini said: "I don't have a problem with Rossi, but with the Palermo journalists who want to make me look like a cretin.
"In doing this they are mystifying and they must write the truth.
