Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini was fined and suspended for making offensive remarks about FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The Rosanero head declared that Sepp Blatter's successor had bought the votes that led to his presidency.

The Italian Federation communicated today that Zamparini has been banned for 20 days and fined €18.000 for his remarks.

The Italian Federation communicated today that Zamparini has been banned for 20 days and fined €18.000 for his remarks.

“The National Federal Tribunal, chaired by lawyer Sergio Artico, sanctioned Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini with a 20-day inhibition and a fine of €18.000,” reads a statement on the FIGC site.

“The Sicilian club was also fined €18.000. Zamparini had already been banned for some remarks that were offensive to FIFA president Gianni Infantino.”
