Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini insists he won't replace new boss Stefano Pioli for some time to come.

Pioli succeeds Delio Rossi on the Rosanero bench after he signed a two-year contract, which included an option for a third, with the Stadio Barbera outfit.

However, the tactician has never worked for a President like Zamparini who has had 15 Coaches at Palermo since 2002.

However, the tactician has never worked for a President like Zamparini who has had 15 Coaches at Palermo since 2002.

"I've found a very good Coach in Pioli," he stated as he celebrated his 70th birthday. "He's really motivated and a humble guy. He'll stay with us for a long time."

Zamparini's words today come just a week after he insisted that Pioli would be around until 2016.

"I'll make a bet that Pioli will stay here for three years and then for a further two," Zampa had insisted.

The owner sacked Rossi last term only to call him back after Serse Cosmi struggled to deliver results.
