Maurizio Zamparini maintains a Chinese group will buy the majority shares of Palermo “within two months and will invest €200m.”
The patron had suggested a couple of days ago that the deal was worth €100m, but has now adjusted the valuation.
“I am not selling Palermo to the Chinese. I am bringing the Chinese investors to Palermo,” Zamparini told Rai Radio 1.
“They would become majority shareholders with me as a minority investor. I am putting at their disposal a structure that I will be a part of too.

“Within two months there will be a definitive agreement with the Chinese group for the State fund, which is used to invest in the world economy.
“How much money do they want to invest? That is for them to decide: if they want Palermo in the Champions League, they need to put in €150m-€200m, if it’s for the Europa League €50m and if they want to just survive in Serie A €20m.
“The objective first and foremost is to get them involved and the investment will be €200m. They need €150m for the stadium, €30m for the training ground and €20m will be a surprise, a humanitarian investment that I will talk about later.”
