Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini insists “we’re in difficulty, we’re not in crisis”.

The Rosanero have taken seven points from their first six games, leading to speculation the famously trigger-happy President could fire Coach Beppe Iachini.

“I’ve spoken with Iachini and the staff,” Zamparini told media at a Press conference.

“We’re in difficulty, but we’re not in crisis. I want us to get nasty. We’ve become a bit soft lately, maybe we let go a bit after the first two wins.

“This Palermo, compared to last season, is basically missing a single player [Paulo] Dybala. We reinforced the defence and midfield, but we’re lacking a phenomenon in attack.

Roma? We have nothing to lose, Iachini knows that even if it were to go badly it wouldn’t change anything. Eventually we’ll get a result. I repeat, I expect a nastier team.”

Zamp then spoke about the title race, as well as giving his assessment of Dybala’s Juventus career so far.

“I’m always following him, and I’ve seen that sometimes they [Juve] don’t pass him the ball. Juve have the best attack in the League.

“The start of the season is as it’s always been in our League, very close. After 25 Sundays you’ll see the same old teams out in front.”
