Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini welcomes Diego Lopez, and believes they’d have “seven or eight more points” had Davide Ballardini stayed.
Lopez was announced as the Rosanero’s fourth Coach of the season earlier today, following the resignation of Eugenio Corini.
“Diego Lopez is a great lad,” Zamparini said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“He has great faith in the sporting director [Nicola] Salerno. He’s a club man. I still hope we can stay up, but we know it’ll be difficult at Napoli as the Azzurri have a fantastic attack.
“In Naples on Sunday, Palermo will prove that we’re a good team.
“Palermo have been messed-up this year by the choices of the Coaches, if Ballardini hadn’t left we’d have seven or eight more points.”
