Lopez was announced as the Rosanero’s fourth Coach of the season earlier today, following the resignation of Eugenio Corini.

“Diego Lopez is a great lad,” Zamparini said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“He has great faith in the sporting director [Nicola] Salerno. He’s a club man. I still hope we can stay up, but we know it’ll be difficult at Napoli as the Azzurri have a fantastic attack.

“In Naples on Sunday, Palermo will prove that we’re a good team.

“Palermo have been messed-up this year by the choices of the Coaches, if Ballardini hadn’t left we’d have seven or eight more points.”
