The Azzurri have a 100 per cent record so far in Euro 2020 qualifying, scoring 11 goals and conceding none, including Saturday’s 3-0 victory away to Greece.

Italy also reached the semi-final of the U20 World Cup, which will be played on Tuesday against Ukraine, and are among the favourites to win the European Under-21 Championship.

“These are important years for the Nazionale at every level. We are seeing significant progress, from the senior squad down to the Under-20s, and hope that the Under-21s will also now challenge for ambitions targets,” 2006 World Cup winner Zambrotta told reporters at a media event.
