Adrien Rabiot has snubbed a move to Manchester United, so the Bianconeri may sell Weston McKennie or Denis Zakaria to sign Leandro Paredes from PSG.

The France international rejected the chance to move to Old Trafford, preventing the Old Lady from getting circa €20m from his sale. The Serie A giants were planning to use the income from Rabiot’s sale to get Paredes from PSG.

Max Allegri has demanded a new Regista, but Juventus must sell one of their midfielders unless PSG agree to send Rabiot to Turin on loan.

Rabiot’s Man Utd snub means Juventus must change their strategy and could sell Zakaria or McKennie to get the money they need for Paredes.

Gazzetta and Il Corriere dello Sport claim the pair is not on the market, but Juventus will listen to offers for both players in the last few days of the summer transfer window.

The USMNT international had also been linked with Manchester United, but a move to Old Trafford seems unlikely as the Red Devils are on the verge of getting Casemiro from Real Madrid. McKennie and Zakaria started in Juventus’ 3-0 win over Sassuolo on Monday.

5 thought on “Zakaria or McKennie out: Rabiot’s Man Utd snub changes Juve strategies”
  1. Zakaria is our only true defensive midfielder. Selling him would surely compromise Locatelli’s output and that makes Paredes’ presence redundant. Rovella and Nicky Beans should be entrusted with the Regista role

  2. Happy to sell mckennie for 35meuros or more – happy to stick with paredes/locatelli/pogba as the main 3 midfield for 4231 / 433/352 formation, prefer zakaria – plays the number 6 role far better and i trust pogba /locatelli and fagioli/miretti to contribute more than mckennie.

  3. The 7/9 army have no plan. Zak is actually their best midfielder in terms of defence, grinta and moving forward. A far better player than Paredes but hey PhD Max knows best and is the world leader in the back, back, down, down.
