“I’m staying in Rossonero to try and win a place in the team,” the former Palermo and Wolfsburg defender noted to Sky Sport Italia.
“There will be more possibilities this season and competition. You’ll have to battle for your first team shirt on a daily basis.
“I’m part of a prestigious club,” added the 31-year-old. “And we’ll be fighting for the Scudetto until the very end.”
