“It is an honour” to join Milan, said new signing Cristian Zaccardo. “The negotiations began two weeks ago.”
The 31-year-old defender has arrived from Parma in exchange for Djamel Mesbah, while the loan of Rodney Strasser to the Tardini side is also in the works.
“I am very happy and it is an honour to be at such an important club. I will give everything to provide my contribution,” Zaccardo told Milan Channel.
“I am so proud of the fact Milan were interested in me. The negotiations began two weeks ago with a chat and have now become reality, as I am here.
“You know me, as I can play in central defence or on either flank. I will give my all. I’m here at the age of 31, after many Serie A games, and already know a few of my new teammates.”
Zaccardo’s arrival fuels reports that Milan are ready to accept Zenit’s offer for Ignazio Abate.
