Inter’s plans have changed, and English full-back Ashley Young could stay with the Nerazzurri in 2021-22.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the 35-year-old, who seemed set to leave San Siro after one and a half seasons, could remain with the club.

The former Manchester United player arrived in January 2020 and his contract with the club was extended until June 2021 the following summer.

The former England international collected 26 appearances in Serie A when Inter secured their first Scudetto in 11 years and his versatility could gain him another season with the champions.

Young has scored five times and contributed nine assists in 59 competitive games with the Nerazzurri and can provide coverage on both sides for Simone Inzaghi.

The newspaper claims Inter will therefore try to convince the Englishman to continue for another season in Milan.
