Ashley Young is set to undergo his medical with Aston Villa, returning to the club after ten years.

Young will leave Inter at the end of his contract on June 30.

According to Calciomercato.com, the 35-year-old will undergo his medical examinations with the Villans ahead of a free move to his former club.

Young played 190 games at Aston Villa between 2007 and 2011, when he left Villa Park to join Manchester United.

The English full-back joined Inter in a €1.7m deal in January 2020 and won one Serie A title with the Nerazzurri during his one-year and a half spell at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

He has five goals and nine assists in 59 appearances with the Serie A giants who won their first Scudetto in 11 years under Antonio Conte in 2020-21.

Young is set to join Aston Villa on a free transfer ten years after having left the club.

The 35-year-old captained Manchester United in his last Premier League appearance in December 2019 against Burnley.
