Chelsea have reportedly been in contact with Juventus to try and explore a move for Kenan Yildiz, but their approach was rejected as contract talks continue.

The 19-year-old forward emerged as one of the Bianconeri’s brightest young stars last season, scoring four goals across 32 appearances, and was a core part of the Turkey squad at the recent European Championship.

Yildiz has three years left on his contract with Juventus, but talks are ongoing to set up a new long-term deal, which’ll secure him in Turin with a higher salary. An offer of €1.2m net per season is on the table, but the 19-year-old is holding out for a better offer from the club.

Chelsea approach for Yildiz

Page 10 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Juventus believe in Yildiz and are planning to sit down again with his entourage in August to try and set up a new four or five-year contract.

The 19-year-old forward is considered unsellable by the Old Lady, who recently rejected an approach from Chelsea. The Blues are interested in snapping up the talented Turk this summer, but have been met by a brick wall.
