Parma Coach Roberto D’Aversa believes “we met Napoli at the worst time”, as they’re starting to click under Carlo Ancelotti.

The Ducali have now faced Juventus, Inter and the Partenopei, and after last night’s 3-0 defeat the Coach was asked which team is most impressive.

“We met Napoli at the worst time for us,” D’Aversa admitted in his pre-match Press conference.

“They did well at Torino and now they have conviction in the ideas of their new Coach. Ancelotti has done well everywhere, and he’s trying to transmit his mentality.

“You could see that in the attitude of [Lorenzo] Insigne who is playing in a role he’s never played before.

“Against Juventus it was a different moment and we did better, not least because of the help from our fans. Here we suffered with tension, which is even more strange given we’d done well against Juve and Inter.

“It’s pointless regretting though, these aren’t the games we need to score points in. Napoli were superior, but we just have to think about getting ready for Sunday’s game.”
