Modric was taken to the hospital in Salvador for tests and there are concerns he could miss the next two group matches against Mexico and Cameroon.
There are even some suggestions the World Cup in Brazil could be over for Modric, who is one of Croatia’s top stars.
However, other sources insist Modric has only a slight bruise and will be back in training tomorrow, so the situation is unclear.
