Kim Min-Jae has been one of the stars of the show at Napoli this season and the club have been left anxious after he appeared to suffer an injury in South Korea’s World Cup loss to Ghana.

The 26-year-old defender was brought in for around €18m in the summer to be the long-term replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly and he immediately hit the ground running in the Campania capital, proving his incredible defensive capabilities from the outset.

Kim is one of Luciano Spalletti’s key players and he’ll play a leading role in Napoli’s Scudetto charge in the second half of the season.

As reported by La Repubblica, Kim played almost all of South Korea’s 3-2 loss to Ghana, coming off in the 92nd minute with a calf injury. He is now being closely monitored by the national team’s doctors and Napoli are a little concerned, not wanting to lose their rock at the back.

Napoli’s first game of 2023 is against Inter on January 4, a key clash in their fight for the Scudetto.
