Axel Witsel has confirmed he “intends to leave Zenit this summer,” alerting Milan and Juventus among others.
The Belgium international has long been a transfer target for the two Serie A clubs and alerted them to his availability.
“My idea is that I intend to leave Russia this summer,” Witsel told Belgian site Dhnet.
“I cannot say right now that I will 100 per cent leave Zenit, but we never discussed a contract extension and my plan is to walk away.

The 27-year-old is under contract with Zenit until June 2017 and his price-tag is believed to be around €25m.
