Juventus are a club that is synonymous with European football. They have a long and proud history, spanning over 126 years after initially being founded back in 1897, with their home being the aptly named Juventus Stadium, which holds over 41,000 fans at full capacity. Before we have a look at what the general consensus is as to whether they might have a chance to challenge for the Serie A title this season, let’s have a look at their record in the league. The club boasts an impressive trophy cabinet, having 36 league titles to their name as well as 15 Coppa Italia trophies and nine Super Cups. The focus we’re going to be looking at today is: if you go to https://bitedge.com/crypto-sports-betting/, what is the general feeling amongst those on there as to whether they can lift the title?

A fall from grace

They have, however, suffered a fall from grace in recent years. The team finished third in the most recent 23/24 season, 7th in the season before, and for the two years before that, they finished fourth. And although this may not seem that bad, you need to look at the years preceding this to see just how consistently dominant Juve were. From the 2011–12 season right up to the 2019–20 season, they won the Serie A nine times in a row. This is a record within the Italian football league system, spanning three managers over that period, including Massimillano Allegri, Antonio Conte, and Maurizio Sarri. Each of which lifted at least one league title, and this was a period in the club’s history where they showed absolute dominance in the league and also in Europe.

On the way back

And so from last season, we can see and observe that they finished in third place as opposed to seventh the season before, so they are indeed on the way back up. And so rather than looking in the past now, what are the chances of them getting back to their former glory days, lifting the title again, and restoring their rightful place at the top of the league? Well, first, let’s look at the competition that they’re up against. Last season was dominated by Inter Milan, who finished on 94 points, which was an impressive 19 points ahead of their derby rivals A.C. Milan and 23 points ahead of Juve. However, there are signs of positivity as Juventus crept into the 70’s when it came to points, as opposed to the 60’s the year before, as they showed more and more signs of bouncing back.

Inters dominance

Inter’s dominance in part was thanks to Lautaro Martinez, who scored a total of 24 goals, making him the league’s top scorer. Encouragingly, though, for Juventus, in second place was indeed one of their own, Dusan Vlahovic, who scored a total of 16 goals. And so it’s clear amongst all of the choices to be the league title winners this season that if you look at every crypto sportsbook on Bitedge, you’ll find that they are all tipping Inter as being favourites. You might expect that A.C. Milan would then be the next favourites; however, the other team that is being tipped is in fact Juventus

The experience of the club as winners

One thing that does in fact go in your favour, and Juve’s at the same time if you’re wanting to back them, is that apart from when they won the league nine years in a row, no other team has ever retained the league title. And so there will be a lot of pressure on Inter Milan to buck this trend and join Juventus in this exclusive club. Whereas the experience of Juventus having been winners so much in the past could count for a lot when it comes to this upcoming season. Of course, the fans of Juventus want to see their team return to their former glory days. It also remains to be seen if any more transfer activity will happen.

In Summary

Hopefully today this has given you more of an insight as to what position Juventus are in ahead of this upcoming season. And also what the general consensus is across all of the crypto sportsbooks and what type of odds you can expect to get should you indeed want to back them to lift the title this season. Of course, all eyes are going to be on Inter Milan too, in order to see if they can carry on the dominance that they showed last season over both their derby rivals and also over Juventus, or whether that was a flash in the pan, and in fact, now it is time for Juventus to reclaim their title. It all remains to be seen when the next season kicks off later this year.
