Wijnaldum undergoing medicals with Roma ahead of move from PSG

Georginio Wijnaldum has arrived at the Villa Stuart clinic this morning to undergo his medicals with Roma.

The Giallorossi are ready to welcome the 31-year-old Dutch midfielder, who is set to join the club on a loan deal with an €8m buy option attached. Jose Mourinho is building a strong project in Rome and the arrival of Wijnaldum is a reminder of his and the Friedkins’ ambitions in the Italian capital.

calciomercato.com highlights how Wijnaldum arrived at Villa Stuart this morning to take the usual pre-transfer medical tests with Roma. Assuming everything goes to plan, his one-year loan move will be finalised.

PSG are helping to pay part of his €10m net per season salary and the player himself has already given up some add-ons to help facilitate the move. Roma will pay around €5m of his salary, with the French giants taking the rest.

Wijnaldum will be looking to find his form after a tough debut season in Paris.
