Nicolo Zaniolo is still hoping for a move to Leeds United on transfer deadline day and the unhappy Roma forward has a reason for this belief.

The Premier League side approached the Giallorossi on Monday night to offer a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy clause attached for the 23-year-old, but it was instantly declined.

Roma are only willing to consider a definitive transfer and would rather keep him until the summer than let him leave on loan.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Zaniolo is still holding out for a move to Leeds as the January transfer window draws to a close.

The English club are currently negotiating a possible deal with Leicester City, who are keen to sign Jack Harrison, and the sale of the winger would give Leeds the funds necessary to sign the Roma forward.

Zaniolo has been entirely frozen out of the project in the Italian capital and is excited by the prospect of playing for Leeds.
