Dusan Vlahovic was shown a late red card in Juventus’ tough draw with Genoa, ending a miserable afternoon for the Serbian striker.
The Bianconeri have been in a vein of terrible form in recent weeks, managing just one win in their seven matches prior to the Rossoblu’s visit to the Allianz Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The run has seen Massimiliano Allegri’s side slip to third in the table, behind Milan.
It’s been a different story for Vlahovic, who has managed to maintain his eye for goal despite Juventus’ drop, scoring 10 goals in his last 10 league outings ahead of the clash with Genoa. He is expected to pen a new contract with the club in the coming months.
Vlahovic was shown a late red card in Juventus’ draw with Genoa; in the 92nd minute of the match, he was penalised for a foul on Josep Martinez and reacted furiously, earning himself a booking. He continued ranting and raving, clearly furious with the referee, who promptly produced a second yellow.
The Serbian striker had only just returned from a yellow card suspension against Atalanta and will now be forced to miss the Bianconeri’s next game against Lazio on March 30th.
