Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Italian talent Destiny Udogie would not take part in today’s Premier League clash with Wolves.

The 21-year-old Italian left back has shined in North London since making the jump from Udinese last summer, scoring two goals and providing three assists in 21 Premier League appearances. His work earnt him a call-up to Luciano Spalletti’s Italy squad for two Euro 2024 qualifiers in October.

Apart from a minor blip in the loss to Chelsea in November, Udogie has continued to impress at Tottenham since his arrival and is now expected to be part of the Azzurri squad for the coming European Championship in Germany.

When speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Postecoglou confirmed that Udogie would miss Tottenham’s Premier League match with Wolves after picking up ‘a knock’, which isn’t ‘anything too serious’.

The 21-year-old Udogie has seen 1948 minutes of action across 23 games this season, playing almost every available minute in 2024 so far.
